Mixson Street Signage Update

Hello Mixson Neighbors,

I wanted to share a little bit about our newest project for the community.

One item that has been a topic of discussion with residents, in official meetings and at informal gatherings, has been signage in Mixson. Currently, we have a patchwork of types and styles of signage resulting from the various stages of development in Mixson. Many of our street signs are falling, in disrepair, or, in some cases, missing.

The Mixson Assembly Board of Directors approved and began a signage audit in the late summer of 2024. We are excited to share that we are addressing the association’s need for signage, with work beginning this winter. Signage will be completed in a series of phases and will be paid for by a combination of association dues and capital funds collected from initiation fees.

During our audit, we heard feedback from residents about needs, desires, style preferences, and more. The Board of Directors, Mixson Assembly Compliance Committee Chairperson, and Mixson Row Board of Directors were all part of the discussion.

I am happy to report that we will begin Phase 1 of our sign replacement project in the beginning of 2025. Phase 1 is the Main Entrance to Holmes/Mixson (where new signs are most needed) and work will proceed from there. See below for the mockup of the new Mixson Signage.

We are thrilled to be able to improve our community aesthetic and get a needed and substantial project underway!

Warmly,
Trever Etminan
Board President
